From April 13 to 15, the International Department of Tsinghua High School organized the sixth grade students to Shandong, and carried out the Chinese culture exploration and practical investigation activities with the theme of "The hometown of the sage, the Divine Show and the East Yue"。
This activity was composed of three parts: classroom knowledge learning before the trip, thinking about the problems during the trip, and summarizing the activities after the trip. At the same time, the field investigation of Taishan Stone was carried out in combination with the science course, and the content learned in the course was combined with extracurricular practice。The practice manual used in this activity was carefully designed by the Chinese teachers based on the Analects of Confucius and other content of the Chinese curriculum。In this activity, the children not only climbed the Dongyue Taishan, felt Du Fu's "list of small mountains" spirit, but also deeply observed and explored the geological situation of Taishan, in addition to going to the hometown of Confucius Qufu, felt the atmosphere of Confucian culture on the ground。Chinese teachers Ji Jiaqi and Wu Huijun, science teacher Kamil Rudolf and Geography teacher Anna Millward designed the practical learning content and led the team。
Climb the mountain by yourself
Ji Xianlin, a master of Chinese culture, once said, "Mount Tai is one of the main symbols of Chinese culture。To promote Chinese culture, we must first promote Taishan culture."。In order to let the children deeply understand the Taishan culture of "five sacred mountains", the first day of the activity came to Taishan。During the survey, the children were divided into five groups and climbed Mount Tai under the leadership of five teachers。During the trip,The children complete the activity manual (such as the geography of Mount Tai, the Zen culture of Mount Tai, the stone carvings of Mount Tai, the eighteen plates of Mount Tai, and Mount Tai in the eyes of scholars) at the same time,Understand the unique position of Mount Tai in Chinese culture;While observing the stone tablets and stone carvings left by the emperors and cultural figures of the past dynasties,I also saw the calligraphy style of everyone's hands and listened to the stories behind the literati and poets。In addition, the happy interaction of the fun scavenger hunt has stimulated the children's interest in learning the famous stone carvings and poems of Mount Tai, such as: looking for the small post station "Imperial Tent Ping" where the emperor once climbed the mountain, and "Why will a pine tree be appointed by the emperor" and "Five officials"。

Into the Confucius deep cultivation of Confucianism
"Thousand years of rites and music to the East Lu, thousands of ancient clothes and worship of the king", the children came to Qufu, known as the "Eastern holy city", the next day with a long-awaited mood, visited the famous "three holes" - Confucius House, Confucius Temple, Confucius Lin。During the activity, the children were also divided into five groups to complete practical manuals and fun treasure hunting tasks。The practical learning part includes entering Confucius, exploring the Confucius Mansion, going deep into the Confucius Temple, worshiping Confucius and the wisdom of Confucius。In the fun treasure hunt, each group of students had to complete the questions on the treasure hunt task card to complete the level。The contents of these topics are mainly related to the culture of Confucius Temple and Confucius Mansion, such as the famous imperial stele and plaque。

In order to let the children observe the magnificent, strange, dangerous and beautiful natural phenomena of Mount Tai, and have a deep understanding of the geological situation of Mount Tai, the science teacher Kamil Rudolf has made full preparations for the course。On the basis of field visits to Mount Tai in the early stage, he brought a variety of rocks for students to observe and understand the composition and types of rocks and other theoretical knowledge, and then combined with Mount Tai rocks for children to observe and explore, and really taught a vivid and interesting science lesson on Mount Tai。

After the cultural practice inspection, the children also made further reflection and summary, carried out photography and writing competition with the theme of "Beauty in my eyes", combined with Kong Lin, Kong Fu, Taishan and other oral presentation, and recorded the field experience and feelings in the inspection activity with the lens and pen。
